Puppet PlaysPuppet plays are part of our daily program. I began telling stories and making puppets as a Waldorf early childhood teacher in 1993 and I have carried it with me in various forms in all of my work with children ever since then. Human beings love stories, and puppet plays, because they include something the children can see moving around and often songs as well, appeal even to very young children. After I do the puppet play, many of the children are eager to take a turn either doing the puppet play I just did or making up one of their own. Sometimes we also dress up in costumes and act out the stories.
